Bookmarked: Reading My Way from Hollywood to Brooklyn
Wendy Fairey grew up among books. As the shy and studious daughter of famed Hollywood columnist Sheilah Graham—F. Scott Fitzgerald’s lover during the last years of his life—she began as a child reading her way through the library Fitzgerald had assembled for her mother and escaped into the landscape of classic English novels. Immersing myself in her universe of books attuned me freshly to the ways novels invite us into a symbolic...

I'll be interested to see how this character develops as time goes and she becomes more in touch with human emotions. For several years, I've checked Kindle's offerings of the works of Henry David Thoreau. While that text is narrowly focused on choosing a software development methodology, a culture dimension of plots reminiscent of those seen in the book under review here can be seen as output from what Cameron and Quinn provide.
